Here at AMC, we have much to be thankful for this year.

At the top of my list I am thankful for the beautiful and healthy family I have. I give thanks also for my dedicated AMC team and their families, because they are the core of our company.

I am thankful for our loyal customers who have given us the opportunity to serve them. Thanks to you, our business has grown in 2010 despite all the uncertainty in the economy.

In the spirit of the holiday, my AMC team would also like to share what they will be giving thanks for on Thanksgiving day, when they are gathered around the table with family and enjoying a hard-earned day off.

I'm thankful for...the opportunities that have come my way in life. I am a new team member here at AMC and am very appreciative to be able to work with a forward looking and positive company. For me it is so important to enjoy what you are doing in your work environment as it will reflect on your attitude towards other outisde of work. My wife an I are hosting our family for Thanksgiving dinner this year even though our oven is not working. We will make do without it. There are so many people in the world that don't even have running water or food, let alone an oven to make it in, especially thinking of people in Haiti. This puts one's thoughts of what really matters in perspective.

I am so very grateful for what life has brought my way and look forward to what the future will bring here at AMC.

I am thankful for the great year I have had. It has been a new year with lots of new friends, new experiences and a new horizon. It has been a year of growth and new successes as well.

My kids have grown like weeds and straight 'A' students. Most importantly, we have all been healthy. Our family has grown with the addition of two new dogs that were rescued from kill shelters and have done a great job of mending in and accepting us as we have them.

I am looking forward to another great year next year and seeing all of your new countertops that have been added to your kitchens and bathrooms.

I'm thankful for all the designers for sending us all the great orders and having the faith in us to do a wonderful job for their customers! Without the designers we all wouldn't have jobs and be able to make beautiful countertops for the customers.

Why: I feel like the Zen series is a little disregarded but I love the solid look and minimalistic tones. The palette lets you play up with the pinks and browns but gives you neutrals too.

Where would you put it: I would love to put it in the kitchen but maybe as an accent color to Tao (black)

Announcing our new Business Development Manager

We are excited to announce that Paco DelaTorre is our new Business Development Manager. Paco moves from Contorno Surfaces, a showroom that specializes in Cosentino products and that recently turned from a CSI servicing kitchen and bath dealers into exclusively focusing on the retail and builder market. Paco has a vast understanding of our products and shares our same philosophy of service. He is a very focused person and we believe that his background as an architect and these skills (among many others!) will make very successful in his new position. We look forward to a successful 2010 with Paco the head of our sales team!
